BH-VT Traffic-sure Companion Dog Test

The BH-VT  tests basic obedience and sureness around strange people, traffic, and loud noises. A dog that shows excessive fear or aggression cannot pass the BH-VT and so cannot go on to IGP.

BH -VT - Obedience Pattern (on - leash)
  • 50 Steps Normal
  • Left About Turn.
  • 15 Steps Normal.
  • 15 Steps Fast.
  • 15 Steps Slow.
  •  15 Steps Normal.
  •  Turn Right.
  •  15 Steps Normal.
  • Turn Right.
  •  15 Steps Normal.
  • Left About Turn.
  • 10 Steps Normal.
  • Sit command.
  • 4 Steps Normal.
Group

1 – Circle a person to the right.
2- Circle a person to the left.
3- Stop + Sit next to person.

Then, will repeat all the previous steps (off-leash)

Controllability and behaviour in street traffic

The handler walks to towards the judge, shake hands and talk with the judge. The dog must remain quiet.

The handler proceeds with his dog on-leash on the footpath of a section of indicated street.

The judge follows the handler at a measured distance. The dog should behave stable toward all pedestrians / jogger, and towards the motoring traffic (Car).

A short time later the handler is overtaken by a bicyclist.

Grade is Pass or Not-Pass
